RCD Fault
Different types of RCD

This is a RCCB and should be on every power and light circuit the T button is the test button.

This is a 4 poll RCD there is usually 2 Power circuit on this type of RCD. If this type of RCD is faulty it should be replaced with a RCCB.
If your RCD has tripped and will not reset, there are a few things you can try before ringing a electrical contractor
1) | The first thing to do is test the RCD, you can do this by turning off your main switch and try to reset the RCD or RCCB, if it does not reset you will need to call a Electrician, if it does reset go to step 2. |
2) | Unplug all of your appliances, this is unplug not just turn off (don’t forget your dish washer, InSinkErator, rang hood, ect) Turn the main switch back on and Try to reset if the RCD resets the start plugging the appliance back in until you find the one that trips the RCD. |
3) | Make shore you do not have any pumps, leads, lights plugs into outdoor power points. |
4) | If non of the above helps then you will need to call a Electrician. |
